I’m at the Interactive Digital Storytelling conference in Edinburgh this week. Richard presented a paper on our MIST system – this paper looks at the stability of character behaviour within a story world that is designed for multiple users/players. It seemed to go down well enough and the basic notion resonated with an idea presented by one of the keynote speakers, Alex Whittaker. I really enjoyed Alex’s talk and his thoughts on storytelling within a mmo context are insightful – in my opinion. Overall the presentations have been of a good standard and I’m taking away a few ideas for my research.
