HTML 5 book

I’ve been reading “The Essential Guide to HTML5: Using Games to learn HTML5 and JavaScript”. I’m reading it because I would like to provide some simple 2d game examples, on a range of platforms, for my 2nd year games class. I’m also reading it on my iPad with Kindle – which rarely puts a technical book in its best light!
Anyway, it seems like a good book for a beginner – a good place to start if you want to learn the basics about HTML (5), Javascript, and CSS quickly. Programming in a games context is also a motivating way to learn. Beware of browser compatibility of the examples though! This could hold some people back quite a bit.
